I am adding another category to the menu bar… THOUGHTS. Here, i will just be posting basically anything that i am thinking about or want to talk about, but doesn’t fit into any of the other categories. It will kinda be like my diary, but a lot less personal, for now. Don’t expect anything to be well written or organised, i am basically just going to let my fingers type anything that i think of and hope for the best 😛
So, my first ”thoughts” entry…
I was at the beach last week by myself and i realized how peaceful and relaxing it is to just be alone, outside, not doing anything whatsoever. I was there for maybe a few hours, just listening to the waves, sunbathing (forgot the sun cream, burned terribly), reading and writing in my diary. I think it’s so important to take a break from everyone and just… recharge. Give yourself some time to think about everything that’s going on in your life at the moment, always with a positive mindset. Or maybe, not think about anything at all, just relax. Maybe get out a pen and paper and write anything that comes to mind, just scribble down everything that you think of, don’t let the pen stop, that’s normally what i do when i write something on here. Read a book, listen to your favorite music, meditate.
In my opinion, i think spending more alone time could make you more independent and confident. If you are spending time alone on a regular basis, you will definitely learn more and more about yourself. You will learn to have a good time, without having lots of people around you, you will learn to love yourself more.
Also, if you think about it, when you are by yourself you can do whatever the fuck you like. You will have nobody telling you what to wear, how you look or what to do. You can be lazy in your pjs all day, makeup-less, messy hair, without thinking that people might judge you.
I don’t know where I wanted to end with this, but… whatever!!!
Anyway, moral of the story: Don’t be afraid to be alone, don’t feel like you have to always be going out having a fantastic time with other people.
* I am definitely not telling you to stay in your room, all day, every day. You could get easily depressed this way and it’s hard to become social again.
The key is balance.
